Tips for registering your business name
Today we take a look at business names.
There are a few guidelines to the name you choose for your business.
1. The names should be in full. Initials are not accepted for registration by the
registry.
2. Numbers are not accepted for registration as well; but they can be reserved when
written in full e.g Two Five Four Enterprise instead of 254 Ent
3. The words national, ministry, group, centre and church cannot be registered as a business name
but group and centre can be considered for a limited company. Ministry and church
can be registered as a society while national is left to parastatal bodies.
4. You can use the word company at the end of a business name and it usually goes
well with professional firms eg Kiambu Tech Company.
